  1. Thats great service. I went back with my zeiss victory compacts and they told me to buy a new cap for the objective end when it fell off after one use

  3. Thats the go i have a zeiss conquest dl which i could have got the asv turret for but at an extra 400 bucks i passed. it moves in cm so 1cm at 100m clicks. How can i go about using this? Should i just create a drop chart and when i range the target look up the clicks in cm on my drop chart? Or do the range finders convert the hold over to cm?? Sorry for all the questions Cheers jack
  4. Thanks mate im liking the look of the 800 version of these and a little bit cheaper. Do you use any of the holder over measurements given for different trajectories etc?
  5. Thanks mate ive seen these. I guess once again it comes down to whats available from the stores but these seem common.
  6. Thanks for your reply. I agree thats why am interested too. Sounds like a good price Do you know how far it ranges non reflective stuff like animals? The ones i have looked up all say 1000 yards but only range animals to around 500 or 600 yards.
  7. hey guys im in the market for a laser range finder. i am slowly starting to get into intermediate ranged hunting. at the moment i want to range and shoot deer out to no more than 500m. my price range is around 600 dollars What are people using? what is good Value? Cheers Jack
  8. I use TUSX its a fantastic pattern. They have warm weather and cool weather garments. Heaps of technology involed. I was standing in the open 25m away from to a red hind and her calf on the weekend and they didnt see me till i started walking off
  9. "This means that you will need to monitor the wind direction, and you will need to set up accordingly." thank you for your reply. when you say accordingly what do you mean specifically? wind in my face; or up on the higher ground looking into a creek or gully with the wind running along the creek or gully itself? thanks again. Jack
  10. hi guys and girls, I received a Scotch predator call for Xmas and i have the general idea of what to do. I just have a few questions about where to set up with wind etc. say for example i'm in a slightly open area and i set up near some sort of small structure enough to hide my body and the wind is in my face. where should i expect to see the fox, cat or dog to come from? i'm assuming they will come from straight ahead and not behind me because down wind they will be able to smell me. or should i be ready as they will be able to hear it from further away down wind. If i know an area where i want to target for a fox or dog should i be to the side, down or up wind from that specific area? Also if i'm sitting over a carcass should i be up or down wind (down wind sounds bad) or to the side. where is the animal most likely to come from? or is that just completely random. I would assume they would be smelling it into the wind and come from down wind of the carcass so should i be off to the side? If i position myself up wind, does this mean my scent would be mixing in with the smell of the carcass and therefor deterring animals from coming down down wind. I hope this makes sense. Any help would be appreciated with regards to either of these methods. cheers Jack
