New Gut hook made from same Antler, turned out ok . Comfortable in the hand.

Ended up attaching My Brothers first deer 308 shell in the base. Straight from the Eildon Bush. Just need some fresh antler now. happy hunting.

Thanks Gafloss, Yeah I know it just needed to be made with the size of antler. Good to have but wont be skinning any deer with it!

Gday All, Made these 2 Bowie knives recently and while they were fun to make and look at and made good use of an old Antler , Im not sure what I will ever use them for? Does anyone actually use a Bowie hunting? I actually use that little skinner I made in bottom photo more than anything else. Anyway just interested. Cheers

Gday all, while I used to shoot alot as a young fella, I have only recently got back into it and really just love getting out and being in the bush. Been hunting with a bow for a while and recently picked up a Sako Hunter 85 30.06. which I am hoping will get some deer a little nervous. Learnt alot from the forums already. All the best. Cheers
