  1. wedgetail raptor 10x42 here previously used 8x40 for stalking an found them to be fantastic, now I glass out to 800m away an the 10s work better wl
  2. I wore SKINS whilst in the field up North, worked pretty darn good an just used a face net aswell as bug dope for bare skin wl
  3. cheers guys, seems the mate is looking at the viper, its 11-33x65 iirc. hes got morem ney than me though.... I like the price of the Bushnell, ill have to look at that. yeah I got a bit hung up on a big objective.... seems it isn't really needed. will keep researchin an seeing what people say about theirs. Thanking you WL
  4. Has anyone had any experience with the Konus brand spotting scopes? Do you use a spotting scope? if ya do which brand, power and price bracket is it? very keen on one for some long range glassing up into the faces, so sitting with bipod . looking at a 20-60x100 Your thoughts? WL
  5. Agree there Rono, the angle is what gets me out too... obviously not taking on board too much in the department of ballistics an really only shooting out to the 400m range but on relatively 'flat' ground, which ive found to be totally different to shooting upwards on the other ridge.. cheers wl
  6. Yeah Whistler, a few times ive seen a couple biggens on a property I hunt, always thought from where I sat was a long way off em, passed em up a couple times an now I have a range finder, figured out they are 350 away an next time he steps out.... its on! I bought mine 2nd hand off a roo shooter in WA, I ranged out to 450 so far.... plenty enough for myself. I only paid 150 though. its a bushnell. buy better if u can, kinda handy, but kinda bulky n another thing in the backpack... but great for those 'how far is that I wonder' an 'shoot I shoot him that far' situations WL
  7. Wedgetail Raptors r around that price range, 10x42s cheers wl
  8. Im about to get into swag shopping, I have a basic, open ender swag, which has been wikid... unaustralian to not own a swag i says. I want one with the dome type end an fly screens an all that jazz! little safehouse so to speak, always wake up with a mozzy bite or two haha! its like a few things, Ya know ya want a product, but the more you look into it, the more confused you become, because theres wayy more out there than ya thought, each with its perks. that looks nice, although a little large. whats the price on that bad boy?
  9. Hey mate, i went to the LGS today an looked at some binos, for $245 i can get the Bushnell 8x42 which seems to be what im after for price aswell , upgrade of the old shittas... he mentioned how America is killin the stores with binoculars an scopes.. i do prefer local of course, plus i can have them for tomorow Think it is the excursion series off top of my head, will update tomorow. WL
  10. Yeah lookin at the Cabelas site i could possibly be keen on the Meopta meopro 10x42s.... around my price range, although i think with binos ya either bite the bullet n go the high end good brand an get what has been reviewed as a popular set, or just go with somethin of an upgrade over your current set an go from there, if im 6 months ya not happy then go spend more... spose thats how il go cos swaros are out of my price range
  11. Good idea, i forgot about that, was possibly goin to buy LGS or off of someone so i can get them here ASAP but yeh Os could b the way to go. I used a mates swaros... an god damn they were clear when my shittas couldn pick up much, my loopy vx2 made out a bit but these binos were like someone turned the switch on an i could see more deer than first thought... swaros are a big price, something a little less $$ would b ideal. how did the Loopy go at first an last light? The picture from the swaros was just bullshit!!! but not in my price range i guess.
  12. Gday, im on the lookout for some Binos, something of good quality, lets in alot of light early morning but not a huge price tag, id say around 8x40 up to 10x50s let me know what you recommend Cheers WL
  13. Addicted to Sambar!

  14. Tis good stuff. IMO the blaze leaves could be more brighter. other than that its made good
  15. cold mornings, gwp an 35w... gotta love it

  16. hey mate, i hear what ya saying. as far as i know they should be a good thing. carrying the loopy warranty an bein made in the same factory, but less cost. if you havnt got endless amount for a scope then i cant see why buyin one would be any worse off than a bushnell or alike. x42 is plenty enough to let in some good light early an late in the day.
  17. hi im whelanlad, this site seems for down to earth than the others other there so i've joined up.
