I have a Garmin eTrex H also. I started to only take it on trips to new places for insurance but since then i quite often take it just out of interest as it tells you how many km you've travelled. But on one of these trips i set my ute as a waypoint and off i went. I knew the area pretty well and when it was time to head back i decided to follow GPS. It got me heading in the right direction but when i was about 50 meters off the ute it was telling me to go 400 meters to the west, yet the ute was 50 meters to the south west. I haven't trusted it since because had of i been lost then i'd still be there!
