  1. I've travelled with knives and have had no problems (had them in my checked-in luggage). Same with firearms and ammo The reason I ask re online orders is that I have ordered a few things from Cabelas before, and upon opening the package at home have found a nice little letter from Customs along the lines of "Customs has inspected your package under Act XX blah blah blah". Got me thinking that they would stop anything remotely dangerous getting though (although from the follow-up posts in this thread it appears not...) Cheers
  2. Hey mate, any problems getting the knife through customs? I want to order one, but am worried it will be detained and wont get to me
  3. Check out the Asolo Sasslong - best boot I've tried, and the reviews speak for themselves (600 people gave them 4.5 stars). Have a goretex lining which means your feet stay dry and yet can still breath I found them retailing in NZ for c. NZ$600, but bought them off the sierratradingpost website for A$130 + P&H Just be sure to google some coupons to get the further 30% discount, or they'll set you back c.A$180

  6. Hi guys, Always been a keen hunter, but have been limited to small game given the size of the properties i've had access to. Now i'm R-Licenses-certified, I'm keen to get out an explore some more To me, deer stalking holds the same allure as fly fishing for trout. Something strange and mysterious about it. The latter I've done for 10+ years Cheers, happy hunting Andrew
