    How is it for reliability, has it let you down at all? I can't find much over the net on the redfield 650a.. Heaps of shït on YouTube about the vortex though. That's what I want it for too, I've discovered I'm pretty useless at guessing distances Sent from my G8141 using Tapatalk

    Yeah I read that earlier today. Vortex say it can range deer at 400 yards, around about 370 metres or something. That is more than enough for the type of hunting I'll be doing. Sent from my G8141 using Tapatalk

    Hey ya'll. I've been in the market for a rangefinder for a hell of a long time now, I'm keen on the vortex impact 850 and wondering if any of you have had personal experiences with them and your thoughts on it? I've always been interested in the redfield 650a as I have redfield scopes and love them, so if you have experience with them too I'd love to hear your thoughts.     Yeah the specs are pretty good for run times. I don't know if it makes a difference with battery brands or not though. I got a couple hoursworth on full power only turning it off once or twice for a couple minutes. Still didn't run dead flat as it flashes when the batteries are getting low as a warning so I just turned the brightness down. Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk

    Yeah I got the m9, definitely doesn't reach out to 500m. I tested mine against my lightforce 170 striker and i rated it better around the 100m mark as it's a white light. But it couldn't pick out a big tree at 300m where the lightforce could. I think it's good to around 150-200m from memory Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk

    Hey duncs or huntsmart, could you please tell me how much of a gap between the top of your scope tube to the bottom of your torch tube in mm with the aria mount? I might need to get one if it sits high enough for my 22 scope. The mount I have is sh!t

    I'm actually watching a solarforce m9 on eBay haha. That link isn't working on my phone, I'll check it out on the computer later tonight. I'd definitely rather carry a little torch around then the 170 lightforce.

    I'm not sure if it's sealed actually, doesn't say it is in the description unless I missed it. Yeah I bought two little led torches for my 22 that throw about 50m which is all I need for the 22. Maybe I should look at a decent torch instead of a big battery for my centrefire.
