  1. Cheers I will send him a pm. Mostly I want to shoot rabbits and re live my younger days
  2. I know people have skirted around the edges of this but I thought I would ask a direct question. I don't have the skills or the money to spend making a DIY set of NVGS so only off the of the shelf stuff is it worth getting and what would you get (OPTIC?) I am looking at under 1k as it will really only be a play thing. Are the ones in magazines worth the $800 or is there somewhere else that is worth a look. I have used NVGS 10+ years ago how would they compare to today's lower end (civilian) gear? Cheers Flat
  3. What is the true cost of a head mounted unit? Due you use it with a scope on the 22?
  4. Don't get too sucked in by the need for a big antenna mounted on the bull bar, a smaller gutter mount will work as good if not better. (unless it is the bling factor you are after they work because the roof acts as a ground plane). Go to a proper radio store and discuss antenna needs with them and you will find that the more reflective surface you have under the base of the antenna the better it will work. I would not go for a 3 way fridge mounted in the car a quality arb, engal or waeco will last you a lifetime and it is not worth scrimping on a fridge when you consider that you could lose $200+ if the fridge goes at the wrong time. +1 for the ralley 4000 lights metal case and once again will last longer than the car.
