  1. When looking for one have a look at how much power they consume. Might be a deciding factor for long stays? I purchased an engel two years ago and it goes great. My next door neighbor has the same one that has been going for 20 years now.
  2. Strange that it would sharpen scissors as they can't really be sharpened without destroying the 'set'. To answer your question I wouldn't get one without seeing it in action as my knives are worth a lot of money.. So I wouldn't risk damaging them for a cheap sharpener.
  3. Aussie disposals have those swags mate, a few of my mates use them. They come with a 50mm foam mattress. We like to be comfy so we stick a 4x4 matt in there as well. I have a better sleep than in my bed.
  4. Welcome Aaron. I'm from Pakenham. Good luck finding the inspiration here in the forums to get your license and start hunting.
  5. Please explain to me who is not very tech savvy how you did this. Currently I only have shonkymaps And I would love to get the other stuff on there. I thought you could only put one map set at a time on the things....
  6. Actually all you need is a map and a compass. The other crap is just nice to have. in my opinion.
  7. I have a gpsmap62 loaded with shonkymaps. It's all you need.
  8. But the law states the safe must weigh a certain amount, not the safe and it's contents? You sexy beast.
  9. That weight can be removed at a later date and not part of the actual safe structure. You would need to attach as in weld on steel plates. Otherwise it would be not compliant... You numbskull.
  10. You might need to attach the weight to the safe though?
  11. So you need to bolt your safe to a mountain? It pretty much the only thing I can think of that is close to 'immovable' as everything is moveable....
  12. I really don't know about wa law mate but the Vic law states that if it weighs more than 150kg it can just be stand alone. Why not ring your local gun shop? They will know all the legal ins and outs.
  13. Can you just get a safe that weighs more than 150kg?
  14. Hi, names Andrew. I live on the south east side of Melbourne. I have not been shooting long and so far only own a Baikel 'toz' 22lr which was passed down to me through my father. Im looking forward to making some contacts to go and hunt with. See you in the forums!
