  1. Don't let it play non stop. Go for 1 or 2 minutes then mute for a few. Do that a few times then switch sounds. Start off quiet and then get louder so you don't spook anything close. I called a big dog fox in a few weeks ago. Tried 2 rabbit distress calls then red fox rally and finally rat distress is when I saw him exit thick scrub no more than 10 meters from me. What worked? Stuffed if I know but he was keen on the rat call. Perhaps the others got his attention first.
  2. I've got one, can shave with any knife I've sharpened on it
  3. I dot think those pics do it justice as they don't seem that bright. I want to see a foxs body at 250 not 150. I won't shoot at only eyes. I bet they are a lot better in person
  4. Fenring I can't find the pro1 anymore. Do they only make the heads?
  5. I need action shots fellas, especially of the s1100

  10. if anyone is remotely interested i found these. they are thicker than 5mm being 7.112mm with the inserts, they also look to be less restrictive than might have been thought. http://rosewindmining.com/product_info.php/cPath/40_61/products_id/329
  11. So John what are you using as a rifle mounted light?
  12. What's your problem dj? All you seem to do is have some smartass Internet nerd humor to add to this thread. Who cares if I'm being over cautious. There was a reason for this thread and it's not for you to get on here with your high and mighty attitude and ridicule it. Any wonder there's less and less people trying to get help from anyone with wankers like you on here. Sorry did I go overboard?
  13. Slim or not it still happens so why would anyone want to take a chance. Last year my bro almost stepped on a brown, that would have ended nasty.
  14. The point is will their fangs penetrate that?
  15. So the thick canvas ones I'm looking at are less?
  16. I hunt during summer, just trying to lessen the chance of a bite
  17. thanks junglefisher, a little re assuring, i wouldnt be wearing pants, if its hot enough for snakes im in shorts. lol. i would never have thought fangs were so small, although ive never seen fangs close up. (probly a good thing). im thinking any gaiters that are thicker than say 5 mm should be ok.
  18. im the op. so i figured youd made it in relation to me not stating where I was. secondly, i was asking what brands people were using, and recomended. i wasnt after shop addresses, my apologies if i jumped the gun!p.s if i am unsure what a x52 is id google it anyway
  19. Simple google maps search would have confirmed that mate.
  20. gsp do you think they are "snake resistant"? the speciality snake gaitors are rediculously expensive. i think it was the moroka ones were $190
  21. thanks henno, i think id prefer knee high for snakes though
