  1. The 12 volt shop looks good http://www.12volt.com.au/ What seems good to me is Arrid; 16amp universal plug or 15amp standard plug, 16amp standard socket (for 4by) & 16amp standard socket with protective cap, would be the way for the quad. Along with enough 15amp two core sheathed wire to do both vehicles. As you probably know hollowpoint, from your other online shopping, you can just explain what you want to do, via their "contact us" side bar, & they should fix you up with the right gear.
  2. hollowpoint, As rick1970 suggested, go for Hella, Narva (or Anderson) sockets & a plug for your light. If you put a socket in your quad & at a nice convenient place in your 4by, it will make swapping from 1 to the other that easy, & you'll get all the power to your spottie for it to work at its best efficiency. Get enough of the high amp rated wire (preferably in red & black) to go from your batteries to your plugs, is by far the best way to wire up . Please don't neglect fuses!!! A heavy duty in-line fuse, as close to the batteries positive pole as practical, is the best way to go, ( no offence meant coldchickens) to many vehicles have been lost to fire, due to neglecting to do wiring the right way. I realize you can't go "down the corner store" where your living hollowpoint but i think there's a mail order mob in Perth, will try & find it.
  3. I know what your saying deaddog, but doing the 600, 6 or 8 times just to see what ajustments are needed, seem a waist of shooting time. Even with a spotting scope would still do the 600 twice. Still like to know what magnification to see bullet holes at 300yds, if anyone can help? Don't mean to hijack your thread vOOdsy Coldchickens, I've looked at some telescope prices, & thay seem more expensive than spotter's, & still not sure of power or quality.
  4. Would also be interested in the same v00dsy but would like to see out to 300. It sure would make a more valuable day at the range, time wasted waiting for a cease fire to check 3 shots, not to mention get'in knocked up do'in 600m laps Don't forget the US market with exchange rate still quite good, did you see the post i started in discussion?
  5. G'day All, Live in Laidley Shire, always owned .22 semi autos & shotguns for bunny's & duck & at different times dingo & pig with .303. Just in the process of purchasing a Sako .243, 3-9X Leupold & reload gear, to improve my single shot capabilities, & for what i beleive, is the .243's versatility. Cheers for now, Bruza.
