  1. #40 is technically enough. I would look for something that's 50 pounds plus: your only limiting yourself to a distance and arrow weight... Speed is great for target stuff but a heavy arrow is what you want for game. You'll need to be sized up for your bow too, your going to want to go into a store to get the ass-tons of information about compound bows. you don't NEED to spend a lot of money but you will need to get the right draw length and have arrows cut to that size. Its a crazy rabbit hole to fall into.
  2. Buy whatever is on sale, You dont need the best cut. Have taken many a piggy in my Kmart Flanny.
  3. I run the vortex guide pack, you can adjust to about any height (lower on chest if I'm using my bow) can fit most bino's as well as a few rounds and range finder in the front pouch. I put my phone in the back zip pouch with ID if on public land. side pockets hold a spare battery for the range finder, a lil lighter, lil puff bottle, screen wipe. The top elastic pockets hold a compass and if i have one on me a mini map. With all that it still weighs sod all. Oddly my favorite part of the chest rig is that it has a flat top, I rest my rifle across it when hiking as i try to minimize using the sling. lost way too many dinners because of laziness.
  4. Vortex Diamondback 10s, 400 odd. I used shitty glass for far too long. If someone said hunt barefoot or without good glass: I would be a slow arse hunter.
  5. It depends on which state your in but basically.... don't carry anything, some states even have a blade length law. but if you can find something the fits within the laws of: Anything that you can open with the same hand holding it Auto/ switch/ OTF Double edged Balisong/ butterfly Zombie knives (anything with painted blood on it) Anything concealed Anything in public view Multi tools (leathermen) [because of the knife] Swiss army knife (because of the knife) Its not to say we all follow said laws but its a choice between practicality and police revenue.
  6. I got one last year, good up to 500m (says 800m on the box). batterys still going and isnt bad in low light I have borrowed a vortex rangefinder and its 100% $200 better but for the cost and being ALDI I would buy another.
  7. Good knife then? hope you heal quickly... Give them goats another run.
  8. just get whatever and a red lense
  9. Alice Pack MK2, with frame. From the Digger days.
