  1. You can buy a diamond sharpener in the shape of a very fine knife steel .it tapers down very fine ,it should sharpen the grooves well
  2. Use a belt sander to reshape the blade constantly dipping in water to keep the blade cool.take your time when you rush you increase the chance of overheating the steel,if you overheat it the steel will go soft and not hold an edge. Nothing ventured nothing gained
  3. I use a set of Nikon monarchs that are in that price range and find them very good
  4. hi live in the blue mountains, love to hunt and fish, chase mostly deer
