i just pick up the Energiser headlamps from Bunnings. $20, and they provide decent light for my needs and last a few years. i carry a few spare AA batteries in case i need them. if i want more light, i simply use my Mag-Lite.

Dead right. It was explained quite well. I'm not set up at home to do that, I'm afraid. However, another post mentioned that you had researched suppliers who had kits that simply need to be assembled. I thought to give that a go.

if you haven't bought one yet, ask around if one of your mates is on AIA medical aid. There are some right proper discounts (i think up to 60%) for many garmin devices through AIA. Not sure if it is limited to just fitness devices.
