  1. I wear Realtree but have always stuck with just a few patterns. Advantage Timber, Hardwoods and Hardwoods Green (in the U.K). Trust me, i try not to be seen wearing full realtree camo anywhere apart from when i'm hunting, then i don't have to try at all.
  2. I just bought a Magellan Explorist 500 last week and it has been great. I tried it out yesterday and keep finding more functions! You can use them in car (mine came with a stand and cig socket adaptor), just type in an address and and it'll give you the direction. It won't guide you around individual streets to your destination though like Tom Tom or any in car ones will. If your looking for a GPS for hunting and the occasional drive then go for a handheld. If you buy a starter pack you get the AusMaps included for a couple of hundred bucks instead of $400-500 when you buy separately. If you can get this one i found on Ebay for anything under $1000 you've done well! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/eXplorist-500-Magel...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. MFOSAMBAR, Send me your address and i'll send you a similar harness for free, it's just sat at the back of the cupboard. The crooked horn uses a type of cable tie to attach a ring, onto which you attach the main harness. The one i'll send you is basically the same design as the Crooked Horn but black. Just trying to save you some $$. PM Cheers Mate.
  4. I managed to get mine from ebay, but it didn't fit my Bushnells like they said it would. In the end i got hold of a Crooked Horn camo one from the local gun shop. Your welcome to have the one i bought from Ebay to see if it'll fit your binos. Just PM your address and i'll send it to you.
  5. The vertical filaments intensify the the centre of the beam giving better range as less light is lost off to the sides. A "vertical filament gives a circular spot whilst a horizontal filament gives a slightly oval spot", this is a quote from the lightforce catalogue.
  6. A red filter causes the lamp to emit light from a certain part of the spectrum that isn't as easily seen by most animals. They can still see it but it becomes less threatening. It doesn't emit infrared (you need an infrared filter to do that) and infrared isn't visible to us either.
  7. I recently bought a Spyderco triangle sharpmaker and have to say it does a great job. I'm a chef so i like to keep things razor sharp, my Buck stays so sharp you can shave with it! I'll never use a steel again!
  8. I've just purchased the Badlands Superday off of Ebay! http://www.badlandspacks.com/packs.php
