  1. Mate compared to the lightforce, they suck. Actually, that's not true. My SL 140 has an annoying little plastic blob on the lense from the moulding process which sort of ruins the spot. The supercheap job is better than that one. Can't compare to the 240 though.
  2. mate, go to supercheap auto or similar. They have bucket loads of cheap spotties. I got a plug in Narva 100W as a back up for $40
  3. I too like the Jewel stick for getting an edge, I then run on a fine F D!ck steel and they come up razors. I find that even with the fine diamond steel, the edge is slightly rough, no biggy for working purpose but for a truely fine, razor edge a touch on a super fine steel afterwards is the go.
  4. +1 on them too Len, you sure don't have to spend a fortune to get good quality, utilitarian knives these days
  5. Trammontina are very good gear for the money and they do a four knife and steel canvas roll. Swibo are another very good option as are the above mentioned. For more dollars look at the F D!ck or Frosts etc.
  6. I found they get in the way a bit those window mount jobs. I now use the suction cup roof mount and it's great. Add to that a big iron door rest and your away. No substitute for a hole in the roof though.
  7. If deer hunting, mark any wallows, scrapes, game-trail intersections, feeding/bedding areas, vantage points etc. I then plug the co-ordinates into google earth and a pattern will emerge.
  8. That's why I have swapped my fridge, camplights, spotlights, compressor etc all to Anderson plugs. You can make up a couple of conversion leads too if need be. The Ando plugs are the most superior 12-24V electrical (apart from soldering direct) connection accessories I know of.
  9. Alligator clips are good, Anderson plugs are better. Cig sockets suck the weiner.

    Knife Handles

Nice one Rono. Looks great. Love the shape of the blade.
  11. Yeah got one. They are good value. Not the best out there by a stretch but fully legal and when installed properly, very, very hard to get into. Your guns will be safe.
  12. I just run the little yellow Garmin Etrex. It's fantastic had it for about 6 years and it's never let me down. I make a point of knowing where I am most of the time so don't really need one with mapping/chart plotting. I leave it on "mark" and just hit the button to mark points of interest. When I get near the mark again, it just shows me where it is....Simple, cheap and very effective.
  13. Please tell me you emptied the cats bucket!! Looks awesome mate. What would be a price on a unit? I like the idea of a scope attachment so I can screw or fit to my existing scope.
