  1. is all you need to know!!

  2. Good point. I haven't done it up too tightly just yet anyway, so I may go do that then!
  3. Mine light shines a couple of hundred meters on high power and works brilliantly on the rifle. As I have it mounted to the barrel it is perfectly aligned with my scope. My particular light has the orange peel reflector in it which provides very good wide spread beam and no hot spots.
  4. I have just installed a OLIGHT M20 PREMIUM. Its mounted to thebarrell of my .22 at the moments but I am getting another mount so I can move it between my .22 and the .223. I have also bought the remote switch lead and a red filter (but this is no good as it cuts too much light out).
  5. Yay, another website that doesnt work!!! On that, I am also looking into the P7. It appears to be the most popular suggestion so far!
  6. Mick, if the unit primarily relies on loaded maps to operate, you wont have any problem buying a US unit and putting Aus maps on it. The units essentially are the same world wide. I have owned a an older Street Pilot 2610 which I got off eBay USA and loaded Aus maps with no problems at all.
  7. The short answers is yes - you can use any GPS anywhere in the world, but.....IF you buy a US designated GPS it will contain basemaps for thew country from which you purchased. This is not so much a problem for units that use other mapping files over the top basemaps, but for basic, no mapping units that rely on basemaps, you will find there is either no data for Australia or what data there is will be very minimal compared to what is loaded onto an Australian designated unit. You cannot update or modify basemaps either as they are written to the EPROM or brains of the unit. Cheers, Brett
  8. Go to DSE or Jaycar and buy a cigarette lighter plug that has the switch built into it. This is what I did for mine. This way, the lighter plug is fused as well as being able to turn it off and on (although my handle does have a switch in it too). PS - I had to edit the DSE part because the "prudes that be" of this site deemed a NAME to be offensive!!! Grow up ADMINS!
  9. Hi there. This is what I am using. It's very simple but very effective. I got the roof racks off eBay for $10 only, I do have the suction cup mount, but because I have a weather shield on my door, the handle rests up against it, which is why I came up with this. The roof rack is very easy to get on and off quickly too.
  10. No its not that bad. You have to remember you are looking at the reflection of <.5mw of laser that is not totally reflecting back at you but being spread off in all directions because of the nature of the reflective material so what I saw was a big red circle that was easy to see. White tape is the same a white paper - you could not see a 6mm dot at 100 meters even in my 4.5-30 scope set at 30x i saw nothing until it moved in front of the reflective sticker!!
  11. Also remember that US sizing is larger than ours. I bought a 4xl BDU top off an ebay store and it swims on me and im quite large. I now have a 3xl top and 4xl pants set and they are just right. In Aus sizing I would normally buy 6XL tshirts at target that are still slightly smaller.....
  12. I have a Bushnell 74-0100C Laser Boresighter. I used it only this weekend gone to sight in my new Bushnell scope and it works very well. I recommend if you use a laser one, that you go buy some reflective tape and stick it to the centre of your target so the laser will reflect back and will be visible cos you wont see the dot during the day on a target!!!
  13. Because not all of us hunt dear!! I have done mine to hide from rabbits and foxes....and its worked quite well. I can almost walk right on top of rabbits before they see me and I had a fox almost bowl me over running right at me cos he didnt see me. I guess noone can "PROVE" that camo has any effect on animals but it looks cool in my opinion and has so far woked well for me. But mainly I just love camo as a colour scheme in general. Cheers.
