  1. I hate carrying bino's around! Wish you could get a small pair with the performance of a big pair... bloody physics.
  2. I ended up in a bunch of blackberries with them a while ago.... that wasn't fun haha Im going outdoor rock climbing with them tomorrow. They will be perfect for that. Then going fishing/hunting mid week. Ill let you know how the copies go once I get them (hope I got the right size)
  3. You can get copies of these off dealextreme now for $32! Im getting a pair to see how the quality compares... in army green of course haha http://www.dealextreme.com/p/unique-stylish-outdoor-shoes-army-green-size-43-pair-52956 Mine are holding up good so will be interesting to see how they go. I would recommend these if you do abit of jogging, traveling and at $30 whats to complain about
  4. Cabelas delivery is slow these days. We just got a order and it took 3 weeks. Order before that was even longer. No more 5 day delivery times. BTW, if your feet are normal then D will fit. If they are wider than normal get EE. Its pretty easy.
  5. Im a fan of Irish Setters also. I wear a pair to work (building industry) every day and they are still in fantastic condition (over a yr old now). I also have a hunting pair and they are great. My other pairs have ended up in the bin.

    Havalon Knives

Ahhhhh got ya, I thought the Havalon looked like a bigger blade. Butchering a sambar with a scapel is impressive I can read the sarcasm in that Gibbo haha

    Havalon Knives

Hang on, so you say that the scalpel blades are the same as the Havalon but they are no good for cutting up the deer but the Havalon is? I have cut up two sambar with my scalpel and its been great. Went through about 6 blades on each. Just pointing out that there is a cheaper alternative to the Havalon

Why wouldn't you just get a surgical scalpel and blades? They look very similar. My scalpel cost me $10 and around $20 for 100 blades.
  9. That comment reminds me of the saying "what came first the chicken or the egg" How do you know you where not sprung? Have you ever seen a deer sneak off without a sound? Have you ever come across fresh tracks? A fresh vacated bed? If you go hunting enough I bet you a bazillion dollars a deer has sprung you without you even knowing. Maybe due to your bright blue jeans and flanny.... maybe not.... one of lifes great mysteries.... might the answer be 42? *shrugs*
  10. That time of month Tez? Someone give the man a Kleenex! btw, im 28..... and I cant help it if I really am an expert at almost everything. Im telling you, its a curse to be so smrat!
  11. I think you missed the point. If it was that important to stand out in the bush from your mates but hide from the animals why would you have your face and hands uncovered which stand out like "you know what" to animals... if you dont believe me get a mate to stand in the forest in FULL camo and then with face and hands showing and tell me what you observe. No ones having a go at anyone, its a good video to post, promotes discussion. Some people around here get a bit antsy *shrugs*
  12. Just marketing. If its that important why isn't the hunter wearing gloves and a mask?
  13. I just got a pair delivered here yesterday. Rocky Outback. Bloody nice boot. Has a cushion sole on the heels which makes them VERY comfy. I went for a hunt yesterday evening in them and they seem good so far. Walked in a few pools of water without problems. I chose these because they have less stitching, nice soft leather and a good report from other users. Rocky Outback - Cabelas
  14. How long do you think it will be before you get the postie bike going mate?

I would be keen to go for a mail run/hunt. I mostly go Eildon. About 2 hrs from Melb to destination.

  15. Cabelas (and Basspro to a lesser extent) are awesome companies. I wish we had one here. I would find it hard what to do on a weekend, go hunting or goto Cabelas haha
  16. Damn, I just bought one a couple months ago haha I wonder if channel 40 will still be the road channel?
  17. You can get away with just a knobby for the rear for traction. I paid $80 fitted for mine. Im still using the standard front and haven't had a puncture yet. Im not a speed daemon though, dont really want to bin it (and damage by rifle haha). If you want to go max stick all over the joint maybe a knobby for the front is better Although, you may know all of the above anyway in which case carry on...
  18. Zardez: That postie has different bars on it. They are high rise ones. They look comfortable!
  19. Did you read the replies at all? * in a backpack that holds a rifle which is then located on a carry rack * on your back using the rifle sling
  20. Bike is registered. Those 140cc engine swaps are no good keith. Not only are the engines shat china ones (reliability will be an issue which is a massive plus using a postie) but they also have a hand clutch. That old boiler is hard to get to. Its closed behind gates for most of the year and covered in snow. Have a guess where it is johnny, I would be curious to see if you know!
  21. Its me Duncs I put my rifle in my backpack (as it has a carry spot for it) and then put the pack in the luggage rack. Its perfect, as I dont have any weight on my back and can control the bike perfect. I have also had my day pack, which I put on the rear rack and sling my rifle over my back. Postie bike is the best IMO as it has no hand clutch so you get alot of control, especially on the steep stuff. Ground clearance is fine. It really doesnt matter, as you can ride around every obstacle anyway. Im yet to find a spot that I couldn't get to. The only downside is the power. I geared it down as much as I could go without buying a massive rear sprocket and it goes up alot of places. One hill I couldn't get up so I had to walk next to it. The best one would be one of the low range CT110's. But only the new ones can be registered and they cost almost $5,000. $800 from the auctions and $20 for a front sprocket is alot better value.
  22. Make sure the face veil is mesh, to hot other wise.
  23. Maybe you could nag it to death..... *runs*
  24. I put in a order to see if they ship to Aus and it says shipping to Aus is unavailable
  25. Well that was easy to find haha http://www.spymodex.com/hid.htm 100mins running time
