hey mate i have a pair, used to get the blisters but not so much any more, paid 75 for mine brand new in a box i got the later edition from aussie dispoals. the guy was telling me it cost the army something like 300 a pr to get made, redback made the later ones i think (going from what he said if hes correct). just make sure you get the right size cause thay aint just normal sizes.

hey mate would highly recomend you get a set i got a pair mid last year the undien 2 watt ones and they are good if you hear a shot are need to ask some thing you can also very handy for safty reasons i carry one evan if i am deer hunting by my self. if you have the money to spend on 5watt ones get them they are a bit more than the 1 or 2 watt ones. i have hunted with guys with the 1 watt ones and not being able to hear a coulpe of people but our group has also all used 5watt ones and some people can go out of range in the next gully. i use them in hilly scrubby country when hunting deer it also depends on the terrain. but also like what len said you get what you pay for. good luck tho.

i got the 60cx a few months back with the topo australia map. was looking around for a while and the ones a bit cheaper and thort F@#k it i will just get a good one seam i will be hunting alone a bit this year. i went to a GPS shop along St kilda road and the guy suggested this was the best one for me. its got topo lines, bush tracks floats, can handle water and so on. just remember you have to buy the maps aswell which are around 200 but you can get ones for different countries if you intend to travel, water ones, city ones and the normal. i have used it driving around home it dose not speak but gives a little BEEP when you have to do sooe thing like turn. i have only used it half a dozen times and have had no problems with it.

hi i am looking at a Garmin Etrex Legend GPS to use while deer hunting. has any one got one. what are they like and would you recomend them. any advice would be great Cheers Brent

hey tim i was looking at buying a scope from O/S to but havent done any thing about it yet. i got put onto a site http://www.opticsplanet.com/ i think they sell both gps and scopes and i also got put on the the same site. i think they are both the same price to.

hey i am looking at getting a pair of uhfs (hand held) for hunting. any one know what is good or have feed back on what they use. i was looking at the Uniden uh064sx or the uh065 the 2 watt one. any advice would be great. thanks.
