Could go an old army pack with an Alice frame or similar. Should be able to pick up a 2nd hand one cheap enough. Can normally add or remove pouches etc to suit you.

Good post. I just bought a couple of cheap torches for work after losing my last one on a job the other day. Should have read the post before deciding on which new one to get, I was flying blind a bit with all the stats etc. Good for future reference.

I have also been thinking about getting a light with backpack battery. So what size battery and light combos are you running to get a decent amount of light for a couple of hours spotlighting???

I am after a new scope (3200 3-9x40) and was going to buy from O/S, I think Opticzone seemed good. But I am also interested in getting a GPS. From what I have read the Garmin CSX60 seem good. I was hoping to find a store that sells both items so I could reduce postage. Anybody deal with a store that could help me out? Also, not knowing much about GPS, what are your thoughts on the Garmin?
