  1. ? $2400 can buy a lot of separate packs that’ll also do the different jobs very well. Short of the pack doing the carrying for you, that’s insane pricing! Go to somewhere with a range of packs and where the sales guy knows how to fit them to you properly - you’ll save a lot of coin and still be happy
  2. Yeah fair enough. @SamHuntVic need to get your tech hat on!
  3. I just got on the website. Give it another go. Might have been an issue at the ISP maybe.
  4. Meh. Can’t see any real difference between that and most other bags. And the Samhuntvic bag is way better. His point about not being Aussie made but it is made in Fiji so that’s ok is very lame...
  5. I can try to resurrect you if you give me some clues?
  6. Thank gebus you don’t look like that Matty. Gatta camps would never be the same...
  7. If you're getting within 2m of a giant buck, what more atmosphere are you looking for??? That's an enormous achievement which most of us only dream of!
  8. Irish Setters are worth a look. I have had no problems with mine
  9. The Mamott has a serious taper to it. I’d struggle with that as I like to have area for my feet and legs to move around. Have you had a chance to get into one? Have you checked out the Recon bags? Definitely worth a look
  10. I was going to suggest the Recon bags too. They’re bloody awesome! Especially if you’re tall (over 6’). The hammock thing is just dumb for winter I reckon. All that continuous cold air underneath you. Silliness. But I haven’t tried it so just IMHO I don’t think my back could handle it even in the warm weather.

    New Knife

I’ve bought a couple of blades with that sharp angle near the top and I’ve decided I’m not a fan. Might be good for stabbing bad guys but not sure of their usefulness in other circumstances. Maybe I just haven’t used them for the right things?
  13. It worked - thanks! But that just looks like a black tangled mess on the floor Any chance you’re can fill it out so we can see it’s form?
  14. I’m 6’1” so not super tall but tall enough that I stick out of standard mats. And it sucks for trying to sleep. You might fit on a 3/4 mat though? ?
  15. You know that’s totally illegal and completely unethical, right?
  16. I had a pair of Steiner binos like this. At first I thought they were awesome - no more fiddling with the focus knob. I never got to compare them with Swaro's or anything up market but they were pretty good. One of the eyepieces fell off so I put them in to get fixed but ended up getting a free replacement pair (big tick for Steiner for that!!). The new pair have a focusing knob and I reckon they help see "through" the bush more-so than the "always focused" model. If you're after a set you can grab quickly and check something out, they'd be perfect. If you're doing slow scanning and trying to see through, I reckon the focus knob models are a better choice.
  17. I just keep hearing good things about them. One is on the chrissy list.
  18. I’d think it’d be a major pain in the arse having it in the roof unless you had easy access into the space (ie not a manhole). As Geoff said, police inspections need to be able to happen too. I wonder if the big and constant temperature swings in a roof would have an impact on wooden stocks? I wouldn’t worry about the ammo though unless you were going to grab it and shoot it immediately (hot ammo has higher pressures).
  19. Gebus help me!! They’re multiplying!! ?
  20. Haha yeah a little. They're a great idea. Knowing where other hunters are is a terrific implementation of existing tech. BUT the location signals are sent out over UHF on the same channel that the UHF is set to. So all the non-Rhino users who are on the same channel get a squeal every now and then which pisses me off no end. Matty worked out how to minimise (or stop?) this I think but it doesn’t stop me having a whinge
  21. Johnny Appleseed is legit and their prices are usually good.
