wow thanks mate for all the info i thought mine was good until i saw the knifes you guys are posting. making our first knife was a good experience and now we know what were in for. now were ready to put more time in and money. thanks for all the help

i used an old file for the blade the metal was very hard , the problem was that we couldn't drill through the steel for the handle we ended up gluing it in. that was a bloody good knife mate it looks brand new. good work

This week my dad and I made this knife. Dad used an old file end and grounded it down to a sharp blade. We then cut some wood out and shaped it into a handle, glued it to the blade and here's how it turned out. It will be soon used to skin and gut our animals.
