  1. deer hunting tomorrow in the SE, cant wait!

  2. gday, what handhelds do people use. im in the market and would like peoples advice on what they have. i have used my old magellan for hunting but find the lack of a "breadcrumb trail" feature to be a pain when spotlighting on a new property. thanks nick
  3. mate, i use victranox knives 5" skinner and a 5" boner, pleased as punch with em. they are not too dear either. would reccomend them to anyone. i also use a swissistor diamond sharpener, its easy to use and compact + i cant use a steel very well.
  4. ok good, i have a pair of behind the head peltors for the range, but when i use them for hunting i either knock em off when shouldering or i smack em into the butt. ive used the foam ones but they are #### for hunting as you hear nothing. i might give the ones that you are using a try jock, but will keep an eye out for some inner ear elecrtonic ones. len i couldnt look at your link for some reason. but thanks
  5. well got home from the station this arvo and i notice that my ears are ringing quite badly, i think it might be time to get some hearing protection, ive heard of some in ear electronic items that let you hear conversation and surrounding noise, but anything over a certain decibel they cut out, i thought they might be good in a hunting situation. does anybody use them or something similar? i dont usually wear hearing protection, but today with three of us and plenty of rabbits about the ears definately copped a floggin.
  6. Gday, im nick from whyalla, love my hunting, fishing and 4wding, mainly hunt foxes rabbits (ducks and quail when in season) and love to knock over a goat for a feed. nothing beats nailing a cagey lamb stealing dog fox, under the light is good but fooling them during the day with a whistle is unreal!
