Guys i have pmed duncs and told him in happy to help you local guys in melbourne make these things out of ally tube and ally end caps to suit your fittings. Im not making one but i have the skills and machines to make up the parts for you. As for you guys interstate im also happy to help out. The only charge at this time will be the tube. No labour charges. TALKING OF THE TUBE I WOULD NEED A SIZE THAT SUITS YOU ALL, iM CAHSING UP 50MM 75MM AND 80MM TUBE Your only cost at this stage would be the tube so you would all need to decide what tube it is going to be and postage of course. I have 90mm bar stock in ally. The only thing i want is a drwaing of what you want and accurate measurments of the parts to be fitted to the end caps, the shape you want or need does not matter. When i say measure it i mean to within .001 of an inch for you old guys like me. So can you get together and come up with some sort of a standard of tube, im aware that you may all have different bits for the end but all i need is a size and if you get it wrong it will either fall in or not go in. And guys when it dont fit it pisses me off. as it will you. LOL seeing how duncs is happy to get the free offer so to speak can you deal with him. Fight with him lol just give me sizes. cheers

Delet that just checked your profile. I have an offer for guys in melbourne doing this project providing there are not to many of them, the offer is free machining of the parts to suit. Having said that do you want me to check out ally tube? and can make ally end caps to suit as i have it on site. You call boys. let me know cheers.

Was lucky enough to get 1 off ebay brand new in the packet $60.00 retail at about $150.00. Just wondering if any of you use them, and if so how you feel about them compared the the etrex, There are only 3 points you can add to them. so it is restricted in some ways.

Amp is 2.2 Dia is 42, vision is 12% 2 aa batteries, Not sure of its makers. But it works a treat. Is this project a better result than the Pygmy? as i had it on my doot step for $150.0 au. And i got it off Ebay as i do most things, picked up a brand new Bushnell back tracker for $50.00 this week. Yes im an ebay freak but you have to flog it to find things. What sort of distance are we talking here, i got a couple of puxing 5 watt uhf off ebay they seem to work well.

Forgot to mention the scope accepts all the extras they mount on the sides and top of the scope and its all ally

Gutty ebay is the go i got a 900 lume led with recharbale batteries, a lazer, scope, and an adptor from 11 mm to 20 mm all from china, free post took about 15 days but all arrived safe and well and it was cheaper than any of the others, check out ebay 900 lume torch and im sure they are even more powerfull now. On the scope and all up on the rifle for bunnies 22 and the scope is illuminated. hope this helps.

Im with you beno, and im glad to see im not the only bloke that has a collection, lots of home made from old saw blades. To the point i did a clean out on friday blankes and handles of huin pine into the bin, hurt but had to go. But lets get it right hunting knifes and butcher knifes, how can we part with our old favs i carry a knife with a gut hook and a pocket knife with a 3 inch scalpel blade, cut my load down in the field. I got 1 of those small ally breif cases from bunnings to hide mine in. She did a clean up took the knife, fork and spoon holder out of the draw and i was sprung, whats all this crap hiding under here for.
