Nothing is worse than you having a decent radio and your partner hasnt. 5 Watt.

Have you checked out the new swanni? Ill give them a call tomorrow.
-
A 36.6 is made from Merino and Possum designed to keep you body temp at 36.6. A great bit of kit. As for the swanni. I see them on sale second hand for a heap of money in NZ. There must be a difference between the old and new jobs.

Just finding a good quality Swanni is hard work. I have a friend in NZ now ill give her a call tomorrow and see if she can get me a couple. She got me a 36.6. It is a shit hot bit of gear. Must have cost her a bloody fortune. I doubt you blokes could walk if you were wearing what i wear. Thermals, T Shirt Skivvy. sweater. Fleece Jacket with a padded Dry as a bone over the lot. BTW 2x Sleeping bags -10 inside another one. Now a 12 volt 7 setting elect blanket. Just cant afford to get crook.

Looking forward to the report. Im always bloody cold. Just picked up an electric blanket for the sleep overs in the car. How sweet is an IOU for sneakers mate.

Disapppointed With Garmin Support For Rino 650 Uhf Gps
optic replied to Alf's topic in GPS and Navigation
Im with duncs. Not permitted on my shoots. Clowns are OK. Plenty out there. From another pub. I bought the pair of Rhino 650's when they were at the 2 for 1 offer. One has a cooked battery and I've also lost the a/c charger, so I'm up for a couple hundred bucks to keep using them. I've been running them for a few years now and while they are better than nothing, they have their limitations. The location polling feature seems pretty cool at first but its unreliable. It sometimes works well, more often hardly works or usually not at all. TBH when it doesn't work I hardly miss it. The unit has a tiny screen as half of the front face is taken up by the UHF speaker so I'm constantly zooming in and out. In to see an accurate track marking and out to see general direction/location. The menus are very user unfriendly and it takes an IT degree to save and then re display a previous track. So wandering of its worth spending the coin to keep these going or just put it towards a better single unit? -
Dry as a bone for me. Its padded water proof, zip off sleeves. And keeps the wind out. I am after a good set of dacks. Same deal water proof and has to keep the wind out. Where can i find info on Roar 11?

Go and try as many types as you can mate. What suit some, may not suit you -
The green packet is a scalpel blade, thats a handy looking knife.. A nice well cared for collection. Cant say the same for mine.
-
Have a look in the history of the Forum you will see extensive trials and tips about packs. One of the Forum members also has back packs for sale. Samhuntvic.

Fleabay Hunting Tactical Jacket
optic replied to shayneh2006's topic in Boots, Clothing and Backpacks
I seen this not long after you put it up. Im still trying to work out what you want a vest like that for? Educate me mate. -
The edge wont last mate unless you heat treat the blade. You will need to do a bit of a google upon it. It can be done at home.
-
Im pretty sure Geoff makers a knife close to the same as that one? You should have got a spare Paul. I have 2 of just about everything. I even have 3 bloody Poms. That cant paint for shit.
-
That will work well 220. Ipch has also made up a window mount, Ill have to get a pic of his.
-
Thanks for the report mate. By the sounds of it. It is still a good light. No doubt you will find a use for it.
-
I Had a look at those lights myself. After reading the reviews i gave the idea away. Ill also be interested to see how it goes.
-
Great find A/H.
-
Paper wheels still need a good edge to work on. If they dont have that. You end up with a sharp blade that dulls fast.
-
Your not the only bloke that has trouble sharpening one of those mate. As A/H said have a look at what might suit you. There are a number of sharpeners on the market. For myself. I have moved to using paper wheels. Much faster and razor sharp. Literally takes only seconds to sharpen a blade with paper wheels. PS. By the look of that blade you are not controlling the angle along the edge. 22deg is a good all round angle on a blade. Look at a quality sharpener. Which will have a set of different grits in the set. U TUBE it.
-
Good effort Grant. That thing looks like it will cut through bone.
-
I like the looks of that Geoff.
