junglerob
I bought the Lightforce Walkabout Kit yesterday with the 7" spotlight under the impression it has a 100W bulb in it. It has a 30W bulb in it and now I'm wondering if this is going to be enough or do I buy a 100W bulb for it? In layman's language, what is a HID upgrade and is it worth doing on the SL170 spotlight? Any feedback on this spotlight welcome. What distances are you using it to etc.? I'm looking to use it around the 200 yards mark, 300 yards would be good. Beno
i had a walkabout kit until some cultural stole it from my ute. If you go down the path of a 100W bulb expect to get somewhere between 20 min to 1 hour of light from it. They suck the power. I thought about the 50W bulb but never tried it. I suspect it would give out good light to your 200 yard benchmark but can;t be sure.
junglerob
Cheers Beno. It should't be too much of a problem, will mostly be used from the ute. I'll give it a go this weekend with the 30W, hopefully won't be too bad.
