gafloss
If anyone is in the market for a PLB, have a look at this little one. I saw it at the local outdoor shop today & couldn't believe how small they are. This one is about half the size of my GME MT 410G. RRP is $399 but have seen them advertised for $329. Worth a look: http://oceansignal.com/products/plb1/

Alf
The SA2G is also nearly as small as the PLB1, it's only about $299 & free postage (about $280 on ebay) and has 10 year battery life! http://kti.com.au/safety-alert-plb/ http://www.skippersmate.com.au/KTI-Safety-Alert-SA2G-AU-PLB-Beacon/ I asked them what their current price for battery replacement/refurb is, today's price is only $181.50 (inc one way return postage), but realistically, 10 years from now, who knows what it will be, most likely, the price of refurb is either going to go up or the price of the new units come down? lollll 10 years from now is a long time in the technology market... Sathvelos
Slightly off topic, but has anybody ever used those Spot Trackers? I kindly like the idea of having a non-urgent help button.
joefish
Yer I use one Sathvelos , a great unit for that exact reason and more , that being said I like the idea of no yearly subscription like this unit has . Looks the goods Geoff !
