WA Tiger
Looking at getting one of these with the front, sides and mat, what are peoples thoughts and any other recommendations? https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/oztrail-cruiser-300-fast-frame-tent
samburstalker
I bought a Coleman one, looks similar, easy to put up, easy to pack up, flimsy in the wind, the knuckles break, that's what warranty is for. If your going camping 4 times a year with young kids running around, get it If your going camping a lot I would get a black wolf version when on sale, way more coin but worth every penny for better quality

ozrider81
Try southern cross tents, their hand made canvas based in Melbourne, I've had 1 for over 20 years not sure price wise though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
WA Tiger
Ok, will do. Just looked at that Black Wolf 300, it looks bloody great.
gafloss
I have a BW Turbo 300 - great tent. Plenty of room inside - my only complaint is the annex is a bit small. Quality stuff though.

gafloss
Have you looked at the extendable annex? Cheaper to throw a tarp up if needed. If you didn't need the centre pole where the two awnings meet, it might be worth a look. In wet weather, the 300 is a good size for 1-2 people with the side walls. With a basic kitchen set up inside there's just enough space for two camp chairs.
WA Tiger
I think if I get the plus I will get the side walls deluxe and the front.
samburstalker
The plus is to big and heavy for a weekend trip, quick and easy get the
WA Tiger
I will probably be doing trips that are 2-4 days.
gafloss
I will probably be doing trips that are 2-4 days. I use the awning sidewalls & front panel - all you need for extended trips such as 10 days in the 'Gatta. The 300 is big & heavy enough without the extras (26kg + sides & front)
WA Tiger
So you have the front and sides. What other extras do you mean, the deluxe only has the flyscreen windows with the canvas window cover.
