Hello All,

My name is Enda. I'm from Ireland and am currently living in Randwick, Sydney. I have been deer hunting for many years now, absolutely love it. My back round would be Sika where I would hunt in the Moors of the Wicklow mountains, very exciting hunting. I am having a ball hunting Fallow, pigs and goats in NSW. Looking forward to hunting Sambar in the short future. I shoot a Tikka .270, favourite deer caliber. I'm a carpenter by trade. I'm starting to put my hunting on YouTube so of you look up "Sika Eire" you can have a look.

That's all really, happy hunting everyone.

Cheers, Enda

G'day mate.

I'm originally from Armagh, I was introduced to sika as a boy there in the early 70's & have been a deer tradgic since. Lots more deer around now in Aust than in the 70's when I arrived here.

All the best.

Sharkey

Cheers for the reply sharky. Originally from wexford myself. I'm very impressed with the deer numbers in Aust, it's great. Hopefully it stays that way for a long time.

All the best, Enda.

Hey Charbel - welcome to the forum!

Probably not the best idea to put your mobile number up on the Internet like that mate. If edit your posts and remove it if I were you. You don't want it getting into some weirdo or scammers hands.

As to hunting spots, do you have your R Licence? If not, do a google search and get yours sorted. Then you'll have plenty of options. After that it's a matter of getting out there and doing some scouting. Blokes will rarely give away their spots and never to a complete stranger so get involved on the forum and see what comes around.

Its easy mate - type "r licence" into google and hit search.

You'll find links to the appropriate DPI NSW site and just read away.

Hey guys.

I'm a 30 year old father of 3 from central western NSW. I've been away from rifles for years, pursuing bow hunting with my wife and kids. Recently my boys have taken an interest in target shooting. I bought a couple of lithgow model 1's (a&B) for the boys to learn with and a lithgow model 12, all in great condition. I'm interested in rim fire target and some light bunny hunting, and so will probably have a go at building a .22 match rifle (the model 12 will be used for the bunny hunting). F class also catches my eye but I will wait until I am proficient with the .22 before I enter into anything there. We live in a small town and most of our shooting is on private property here, though I am a SSAA member and will probably attend a range for some fun every now and then.

Cheers, Chris
