G'day from - QLD

Recommended Posts

G'day I'm Paul, 54 years old, live on the back of the Sunny Coast.

Had guns of all types for the early part of my life, then turned to Bowhunting. Last 18 months have gotten back in to firearms and loving it.

Still waiting to take a nice stag, it will happen.

Anyway cheers to all.

Paul

I shoot silhouette at the ssaa madden range in Brisbane, just got back into it after a few years off. I use a brno model 2 for rimfire and a Sako 75 heavy barrel in .308win for centrefire.

Hi All

Graeme from Far North Qld here. I've been hunting for 30 odd years and have just started getting my wife and 2 boys involved. We hunt ferals locally (pigs, brumby's, dingoes and scrub bulls), travel to Charters Towers chasing Chital regularly and I love trophy hunting. Have taken most species of deer here in OZ but still haven't caught up with a Fallow yet. Hunted in Africa in 1997 for plains game.

Also into fine firearms - customs and doubles.

Calibres range from .22 to .470 NE.

Cheers.

Thanks gryphon and cheers mate I did. A well written thread I thought - probably not the thing for this current project but would love to give it a go sometime on another rifle. Pics of rifle etc back on NE.

Cheers.

Hi all

English backpacker in Sydney but heading up east coast to Byron Bay and poss as far as Cairns shortly i.e. just after xmas. Real new to the whole hunting thing having been a city boy most of my life. Only done spotlighting for possums and rabbits in NZ, but I'm a good shot. Believe in hunting from a natural perspective

Would love to share a hunting experience with someone willing to take me out. Willing to share costs etc of course.

Can bring camping equipment etc and great stories from my travels through sailing in pacific.

Trying to convince my friend to come also, think he'll love it.

If not, Can you recommend good spots to hunt?

Thanks so much

James

Hi,

Puk here from the Lockyer Valley,

I am a moderator of Australia's biggest Bowhunting web forum, having been a bowhunter for 6 years or so, and have just got into rifle shooting as well, mainly to specialise in deer. I have a Mossberg 100atr in .270 (started off cheap), and a good old Stirling .22
