G'day from - VIC

Recommended Posts

Hello all, iv joined this forum before but forgot my account password.

I own a farm out near violet town and we raise cattle and sheep and also do some cropping. I mostly go fox hunting but I also do some clay target.

I own a Howa 1500 6.5 creedmore, an Adler b220 all weather 12 gauge, an Adler b230, and a w&s 900b. I have paid for but haven’t picked up my w&s Xocet .22 mag.

G'day from Dandenong!

Joined so I can lurk around, try and learn some stuff, maybe meet some contacts. I've always been interested in hunting but don't have any friends or family that do it, so I've never been able to get out.

Always lived in the suburbs but I've got a bit of experience out bush, done a bit of target shooting here and there (.22LR, Austeyer), no stranger to hard yakka, and very comfortable being uncomfortable.

Hoping I can link up with someone that can take me out on a hunt, maybe I can carry gear or pay for petrol or something so I can contribute while I observe, and hopefully get some shots off, learn to field dress/prepare meat etc. Very keen on the idea of avoiding waste and using as much as possible from each kill.

Cheers

Hey guys, I'm Tim, living just north outside of Melbourne.

New to hunting and found this forum and thought its a good place to start to get some tips and information and meet some more experienced guys to pick their brains.

Have had a 22 for a while and gone for bunnies a few times but looking to get a larger caliber and get more seriously into it.

cheers

Hello everyone. My friend and I just got our firearm licenses a short while ago and we plan to start hunting this summer (should really wait until the weather cools but we're itching to go, even if we don't see/shoot at anything and end up taking our rifles for a walk in the bush).

His got a 22 for rabbits and I got a 300 WSM for deer.

Hoping to get some tips from more experienced hunters on this forum.
