in the dark
Hello from the land up top. It is a balmy -31C here in Prince Albert Saskatchewan Canada. I have a friend from Aus that I met a couple of years ago while he and his family were doing a teacher exchange in British Columbia and I was working as a Federal Fishery Officer. I hunt all of the ungulates here in Sask i.e. elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, (large racks), moose, pronghorn antelope, and black bear, timber wolf, coyotes (my personal favourite), red fox, Richardson ground squirrels, waterfowl and upland game. I am fortunate to have just married a gal that loves to hunt big game and birds but not coyotes and who was a government trapper for the Ontario government rabies unit. I am interested in what species are open to foreigners to hunt and what the regulations are. My understanding is that Aus is very restrictive of firearms up to and including Draconian. But that’s why I am here to educate myself and to offer myself as a contact for anyone who would be visiting Saskatchewan in my area to go out squirrel or coyote hunting or for that matter to help them with the firearm law in Canada. I own several 12 gauges, a couple of 22-250s, 308 Win, muzzleloaders and .17s, .22s, and a bow.
GUNGUN20
Hello to everybody from Lincolnshire England, started looking at this site as i have friends in OZ and have visited a couple of times. My interests are mainly shotgun shooting, ie. Pheasants Partridges ect. but also shoot pigeons over decoys, and i drive a truck for a living. I use a Wichester Grand European 12g for game and a Remington 1187 Auto for all my pigeon and clay shooting. I also have a Ruger 10/22 for rabbits. I am also a member of a UK shooting site called Pigeonwatch, have a look sometime, my handle is rich g. Richard.

len
G'day from the U.S.of A. My wife is looking at a strong possibility of being transfered to Australia and I am curious about hunting in your fine country! Do not locate to Western Australia. We do not have any public hunting areas, no duck season - actually no game hunting seasons at all. The east coast or the NT is where you want to live in Australia if you are a hunter

Mark1911
Hey guys, Names Mark here. I'm from South FL, but travel back and forth to Australia for about half the year. I'm located around Lake Macquarie. I'm interested in getting some hunting in while I'm over there sometime. I wish I could just bring some of my equipment with me. I also enjoy building my own handguns in the 1911 format. I'm sure to post a few pictures of my recent builds for some of you to be jealous of. mallardpointduckhunts_ar
Hey Everyone, G'day from the Great State of... Arkansas: Where, if you mention Bill Clinton to one of us ONE MORE TIME... just kidding. Anyways, we mostly deer hunt, duck hunt (waterfowling I believe its called in most other places?), and Goose Hunt. Our primary claim to fame, by far, is our amount of ducks, partly due to the vast areas of nothing but rice fields, which can operate as perfect duck areas even in the face of drought (the Mississippi river is a very handy thing to have nearby in that case.) There is also some turkey, quail, and of course wild pigs. Oh, and one more thing to my fellow waterfowlers across the ocean: NO CRAZY PROTESTERS.
