Led's are crap you want a torch with an Xenon globe the others are to dull.
hehe....what a joke....actually you want a CREE chip mate!!
I love the EDI-T P15 I bought below. Focusable aspheric lens, cree chip, rechargeable Li-Ion battery, and comes in a kit with mounts, charger, pouch and spare battery. Good for spotlighting to beyond 100m.

Spend a little extra ($90) and get a Led Lenser H7 Headfire from QGE. They simply #### on all other headlamps for the price. Inbuilt dimmer and focusable, with 160 lumens of power. Simply awesome....you could spotlight bunnies with one!

Have a good look at the Leupold Cascade 10x42, these are a very good mid-level bino and great value for money IMO. I know several hunters who use them, myself included, and all have given good service. Bright and clear, good low-light performance (for a cheaper bino) and no eye strain even with extended use.

How waterproof are these Rocky (etc) boots that Basspro and Cabelas seem to stock? How do they stack up to something like Meindl? Obviously they are a lot cheaper, but just wondering what their waterproof/durability capabilities are like?
Cheers,

G'Day all, as the name suggest I'm a Mauser fan, (96 &98's) love hunting. In SA for Red and Fallow, foxes and bunnies, and Pigs and Goats in NSW when I can get up there.
