  1. Better than any knife I've ever made Foxstalker. Great work.

I remember a mate as a late teenager making a knife from a used big powered hacksaw blade. Already comes heat treated.

  2. You know RT, Grunf is spot on, the closer I look the more attention to detail I see.

The tapered tang you have mentioned but combined with the palm swell countoured into the handle I bet it's very comfortable to hold.

The rivets in the handle look superb, the timber has come up a treat, the taper in the blade to the edge and point is first class. I'm really liking your knives and more and more appreciating the skill to produce.

    Great job.

  3. That's an awesome knife RT. Don't doubt your skills or the market that is out there to pay for that craftsmanship.

Made more complete with the sheath and that's also a great sling Gryph. Although I really like the subdued colour under the sheath is a master piece.

Just changed my mind on spotting scopes after using Watto's swaro's in NZ. Only problem is the price.

looking at the Zeiss conquest Gavia 85 30-60. Anyone used the Zeiss?

Not as light weight as the swaro's.

Mick, I bought a pair of 10x40 zeiss binos recently. It was the cheaper end of the range at about $700 but the glass is excellent. If they are anything to go by the spotting scope should be ace.

  5. That’s an ugly blade. I know nothing about knives but a bit about steel. Avoid heat if you can so you don’t change the properties of the steel.

having said that though. Given the shape of the blade it’s obviously a knife maker with no self respect so the blade is probably crap steel and not heat hardenable. If this is the case. Shape it with a 5” grinder. Or just bin it.
