  1. Im after a light bright head mounted lamp.

Can any one point me in the right direction to find one.

Not to worried about the cost.

Trying to butcher game in the dark is a real pin if you cant see well enough.

So this thing needs to flood an area of about a SQ metre.

Its number one use will be for butchering game.

I have seen some that have 67 leds, but they weigh 3 or more OZ.

These things also take Chineese batteries, so our AAs are a bloody tight fit in them.

Yep Chineese batteries, AAs are smaller than ours.

Any sort that will do the job folks.

  2. I think its worth it.

For the more serious hunter, you would need to spend bigger money.

I Use it just to check the distance.

For example, From a flat position across a gully then up an inclined hill.

It is not easy to pick a distance like that.

Thats where they they make things easy.

No problems with it at all.

But as i said the finish on it made it slippery.

The new model has a non slip cover.

  3. Im watching with great interest a thread which is on AHN.

These guys are doing what we were aiming at.

    But in a different way.

If its rabbits you want just keep in mind just how far you face will be from the scope.

Thats with a head mounted N/V. It is possible and has been done.

Which is fine with a 22, but not with the big calls.

Having said that i intend to try my head mount out with the 223 and a bipod. It will work, how good is another thing.

But my head mount is not one you can buy off the shelf.

Ill go as far to say there are only 2 in this country.

  4. Look to be honest you need to chat with David about the off the shelf stuff.

You will find him in past posts on N/V. Send him a PM.

We have head mounted N/V, but its not what you can get off the shelf.

Keeping in mind your budget, the stuff we have is way above that.

And its built from different things that are on the market then turned into what we want.

The market sells Gen 1 and 2 in most cases. And invented 10 years ago.

They work ok for some things.

What did you want to do with it?

I have a Pigmy N/V that i may sell, but its a hand held thing.

Best bet is to have a chat to David when it comes to off the shelf stuff, im serious when i say he knows his stuff.

    All the best with it.

  5. Yer mate they were in the boat box.

I normally put them in the boat when i head out.

But its the first time i have put a floatation box in the boat.

After last years efforts everything is in that box.

They were under the camo wraps.

It had me beat where i had left them as im pretty fussy about them.

Cam rekons i should keep the new ones as im sure to lose them again.

    Little sh!t.

I just laughed when i found them, i was after a screw driver to set the N/V to zero.

Picked up the camp wraps and there they were.

They are a good bit of kit.

  6. Brand new unused still in the box 10 X 50 Black rubber coated.

Recommended retail on this box is $639.96.

I have seen others for sale at above $700.00.

Im after $300,00 for the Binoculars.

And $40.00 for the camo harness that i got for them.

    Selling as a set.

Pick up in Melbourne, or postage costs will apply.

Carson make great scopes as well as binos.

I have been more than happy with the Carson brand.

    Pm me if your interested.

  7. An upright Brown Built cabnet.

About 6 foot high or more,

Bee 300mm wide and 400 deep there abouts.

I might even have a key for it, if not its easy to get one cut off the number.

This was my original gun safe years ago i then put shelf's in it and turned it into my ammo storage.

It then became to small for the ammo, but it does still have the shelf's in it.

It will be a pick up from Cheltenham.

    First in gets it.

I want it gone or it goes in the hard rubbish.

    PICK UP ONLY.

    Cheers.
