optic
Mate have a good look around. I got a cheap job off ebay for under a $100.00 bucks. The paper work with it says it will spot deer @ 450yards. It works and im happy with it.

optic
I think its worth it. For the more serious hunter, you would need to spend bigger money. I Use it just to check the distance. For example, From a flat position across a gully then up an inclined hill. It is not easy to pick a distance like that. Thats where they they make things easy. No problems with it at all. But as i said the finish on it made it slippery. The new model has a non slip cover.
