at a guess it looks like an industrial grade of stainless maybe 314, if so no go, if you've used some high carbon or spring steel you can do it yourself, if you've used high grade stainless such as 440c you will have to send it away unless you have a furnace. if you live in qld my brother is a knifemaker and has such a furnace and a forge. cheers kicka
