  1. Blazalight is the best by far, mine has been going strong for 11 years and has seen a lot of work. Always go for a roof mount with the handle slightly foward of your position, but not far enough that you get light shining directly onto the windscreen. The handle shaft takes a lot of bending as my wife can tell you after we hit a big hole one night. Night Eater spots are a legend in their own right. While you are at it it is definatly worth building a drop screen, the results will speak for themselves.
  2. I have had a Garmin 12 XL for 10 years, has seen a lot of work and never let me down. Also have a Garmin 76S for mapping paddocks, fencelines, ect which has main roads, rivers, and some property's already in the memory. Plus you can download extra info.
  3. If you're looking for a new bike try the Bombardier Outlander 400, we have had one for two years. They are a long way ahead of the 1st gen 4 wheelers with great suspension & power, & seem to be hassle free. They have an 800 now & also 2 seaters in both.
  4. Thomo, in regard to your light being too bright. A mate of mine used to have the same trouble while using his Night Eater shooting roos on the open downs. He was finding that he was moving them ahead of him because of the distance the light was reaching. His answer was to use an AMP ajuster off of a small welder, so he would find them on full power and then back it off untill he worked through the mob. You could also use an instrument dimmer switch.
