  1. Try giving Clayton Trigger and takle a ring. They've advertised in Australian Shooter mag (page 68) 'Ridgeline Sniper packs' for $120. (03) 9544 1093 happy hunting, Pete. :D
  2. I've personally been considering picking up one of the Stoney creek "Magnum Waist bags" for two reasons. Firstly, I do alot of walk about spotlighting and carry a 7 amp battery in an average bum-bag and I'm finding that the strap is just cutting into me as it's not designed for the weight. Secondly and for me, more importantly, I don't like shooting with a back-pack. I find the shoulder strap(s) displace the position my rifle(s) take against my shoulder. To me it feels very uncomfortable and it's very hard to get used to. That is why I opted for the normal bum bag in the first place, but the normal (unpadded) strap just doesn't have the support I'm chasing. The Stoney Creek one has a large/wide padded strap (it looks like a kidney belt) and has quite alot of room, almost replacing the need for a small backpack/day-pack. Just my two cents, Pete. :D
  3. Hey Kingsview, Congrats on the first rabbit, hope you got some photo's to remember it. I'm sure that after being here for a short while you'll be inspired to hunt more. The boys here will help you with you're first rifle for sure, have a flick through the 'Firearms' thread as I'm sure there's a few topics about that one. Happy hunting, Pete. :D
  4. G'day vicfox, Welcome to the forums. What part of Vic are you from? Happy hunting, Pete. :D
  5. G'day Jordy, I have to say that Australia is a land of oppertunity for hunters. Where in Aus are you looking to land or settle when you come over, ie Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane? Happy hunting, Pete.
  6. G'day all, I've just discovered your forum and after having a quick poke around I have to say that I'm impressed. I've just moved to Ballarat and I'm pretty much a small game hunter. Rabbits, foxes, cats and hares. I currently own a Brno Mod 5 .22LR, 12 Guage Coach shottie and a Gamo CFX .22 Air rifle. Look forward to chatting to you all. Happy hunting, Pete.
