  1. G'day assailant, all up with the IR lens for the lightforce and the two attachments for both of my scopes plus postage was just across $3100. It was well worth it. Heading out again tonight to smash a few unknowing critters..... here foxy foxy.LOL!
  2. Mate, if my missus knew what I spent..........it would hurt hahaha. I would have to say though, it is heavy when you add bipod, light and NV gear. The fronts of my shoulders do ache when I get home but it is worth it when you smack a feral in the pure darkness and it doesn't even know what hit it.!!
  3. G'day Cj, If it is a stary (spelling) night and the moon is out you definetly do not need the extra IR light. Otherwise I use the Lightforce 140 mounted on top of the scope with the IR lense. I must say with the PS22 I havent specifically checked MOA but everything that I have aimed at whether it be rabbits or foxes (with .22 or my .204) out to distance has died ...BANG ...FLOP.(Except when rocks get in the way HAHA) So as far as I am concerned there has been no HUGE difference in POA. Its just so good to be able to chop and change to one rifle to the next without having to re-zero each time. Cheers Kean
  4. G'day all, long time lurker not too many posts, Anyway......I am relativly new to shooting and have the means to buy gear without the missus knowing...HeHeHe. Of late I have purchased a PS-22 CGTI Night vision attachment , an infra red lense and some Camo ASAT gear from the States and Love them all. I have also had in my hands the CD from ebaby Vixens on Heat and have only last night got to use it as we saw two foxes mating on Saturday night so I thought last night would be a good night to try it. I did alot of homework reading up on all of these items purchased but also found little reviews by hunters here in Australia, so I thought if anyone else was looking at any of these items I would tell them what I think. 1.) The NV is amazing!!!! I first borrowed a mates Gen 1 monocular and it just wasn't what I thought it would be. I suppose after seeing movies and tv doco's about war and them using NV , It really left me dissapointed. I scanned ebay looking at NV scopes and other webpages but I just didn't want my .204 tied up with just being a night time use gun. Then there was sighting it in at nightime..BAhhhhhh too hard. After finding the NVT website I came across the PS22 and got excited. There are 3 grades of this attachement but there is no-one in Victoria that you can go and look through one of a nightime which sux!! Especially since you will be laying out some big bikkies for it $$$. I spoke to Greg at NVT and he convinced me to go the highest grade which is the CGI model. I also bought two connections that slide onto my 3x9x40 tasco on my .22 and 6.5x24x50 on my .204. This is what I really love about it. I can use the NV on any gun that I choose not being stuck with 1 gun that must be used for night shooting. The Ps-22 model I have is like Gen 3 IT IS AWESOME!! 2.) As it is winter time I was sick of rugging up with a huge amount of clothes to go shooting, then being uncomfortable just to keep warm. It can make it hard to shoulder a shotgun in the right possie when there is 3 hundred layers of clothes covering you. I decided to look for a waterproof, quiet camo pair of pants and jacket that would keep me warm and dry and I found them. ASAT. I looked at a Waterproof Jacket at my LGS and found it to be $499 in that real camo pattern and IT WASN'T GOLD LINED, (which I sort of expected for that sort of money.) HAHA. Anyway I found Blackfoot Camo (Australian) on the net and read everypage and was convinced on the larger break up pattern, the only thing was I could not get a hold of the fella and the clothes were not waterproof and we need this in this years winter, so I turned to ASAT and sent off an email. After a couple of emails on whether they had stock, sizes, shipping costs etc. I paid and the clothes turned up 2 weeks later. Now my wife does know about these and she giggles everytime she see's me in them but they are the MOST comfortable clothes I have ever worn!! Last night it poured while I was in the paddock and I was bone dry underneath. I don't need to wear layer upon layer underneath its just boxers and a t-shirt, which is great heaps more movement. Its quiet, no plastic rub when you walk, The material is kinda like felt?? The pair of Ultimate Pants and Ultimate Jacket set me back $449 inc post . Best money ever spent. Warm too! 3.) As I saw foxes mating on Satuday Night I broke out the Vixens Cd to see if it really worked, (you can read all the feedback you like on ebay But is it real??). I walked two paddocks in the slushy med carrying my .204 with Bipod, Lightforce light with IR lense, backpack with battery in it Led LEnser torch in hand and little portable boom box in the other. After nearly falling on my arse 3 times from the slippery mud (Cursing) I made it too the paddock I wanted to start with. I put down the stero. Lit up the IR and NV and looked around doing 3 360 degrees looking for any eyes lighting up...nothing . Oh well I thought I would still give it a go. By this time its pouring but I was still dry. I hit play and repeat on the vixen squeali its head off and then looked throught the scope. BUGGER ME..... There was a fox running its arse off towards me full tilt. Must of been fairly horny!!! This fox was only 50 mtrs away which i would have seen before but obviously he was hiding when he had seen my torch. He had ran that close to me I could n't see him in the scope easily. He was ducking and diving between rocks trying to sort out what it was because the wind was comming from behind me but he wanted the vixen. I touched off on the .204 and just missed him as he went behind a large rock. DOH!! I was more than impressed with what happened and will be using it in the next weeks while it is mating season. Hopefully send a few dogs to heaven from it. I hope this helps anyone who is looking into any of this gear. Any questions just ask. Oh and I am not affilliated with any of these products , just want to help out anyone looking into any of these items. Cheers Kean.
