  1. G'day Everybody !!! It is fantastic to see how big this site has become and to see the diversity of the people that post. I don't post much lately but always pop in to read. I live in NSW, hunt with dogs, rifles and bow. Long live the hunters.
  2. Drew , Are you the tree in the background on the far left ? . I like that Blackfoot stuff and the idea of heaps of pockets . I like me pockets . It looks similar to the bush I have been roaming in lately . Might give them a go when the funds free up a bit . Old cammo gear wearing a bit thin . Cheers Gray .
  3. I wear NZ camo t-shirt , khaki pants that I attacked with the wife's material paints , and a floppy camo hat with ripped up camo material sewn on to it . Just recently , i started wearing camo netting wrapped around my face and a pair of riggers gloves tiger striped with blak permanent marker . It's funny though , I have had both goats and pigs walk straight past me at 5 m or so until they realise I am there . In saying that , wind direction is the key to the stalk but even then I like to be all chameleon in case of the odd skiddish or suspicious beast . Have also hunted goats with a mate who just wears flanno shirt and yeah he still gets his goat too .( and mine )
  4. Just a regular sewing machine with a heavy duty needle , nylon thread from any sew or craft shop . Couldnt get a hold of a industrial machine which would have been ideal , just double stitched instead . Fire hose was sourced from engineers at work , a replaced hose sitting out the back of their workshop . Metres of the stuff .
  5. I have made two full breast plates out of fire hose ( post pictures when i can find batteries for camera ) seams to be easy to work with . Also tried conveyor belting , wrapped in canvas , a bit fiddly , was told about 7 layers of shade cloth but have not tried it yet . How does it fair in the field Martin ? Fire hose is not as light but very tough and good to work with on the sewing machine with nylon thread . Great work on those neck collars Geta , I used velcro for my first but like to go the leather strap and buckles for better security through the thick stuff . Cheers Daz good post , thought i was going a bit wierd
