Do you cut from the inside out? blade fasing up/out i figure you experienced blokes would i never thought about it till i watched a dvd or two. especialy for capping out a better finish is had due to not cutting the hair well bugger all compared to cutting down throught the hair first then skin and meat.

aahh right'o I saw an add in the recent deer hunting austrlia mag im pretty sure and theres a good looking sharpener. dont know who makes it but its the same system as yours. with and angle gauge and a clamp to hold the knife running on a pivot thingamybob. i'll try to find it and get the name for some ideas

The way I sharpen my knife is take it out of the sterile wraping and click it in Although ive got another knife and i have to get a sharpener for it. was thinking a very fine steel diamond plate. (on the list of gear still to get ) i sued to use one at work to sharpen my gasket scraper. just by hand with thin oil wd /rost off and adjust the angle so i could see the oil mound up a bit.

Im looking at getting the small stoneycreek pack just big enough for camel bak and some food,first aid kit etc, and back straps when time comes. theres another one i saw in deer hunting mag for 100 bucks i might check it out as well. Ive already got a samhunt pack i seem to put too much sh!t in there just for day hunt out of camp so somthing bit smaller for those trips and use the samhunt for overnighters i rekon. perfect with the rifle holder as well. also has a spot for water bladder too. and pockets for all sorts of gear.
