  1. Another for the 62s, no complaints. Can mark points accurately and simple enough to use. I know a few people who use them on Motorbikes up the bush, which lowers my concern for wrecking mine sitting in the pack.

Whats difference of using Grease over oil?
  3. I have one, I wouldnt say its the greatest unit personelly. My first experience was 2 DOA units, but Hema replaced them generally within 1 Business day. Done a heap of KM's with the Route 66 mapping, only ######ed up once but it was clear it was taking us no where near, we just followed it out of curiosity/killing time anyway. The 4wd maps are useless, in some areas along NSW coast it was just that pixelated it wasnt useable, and very average in Gippsland Vic. The Topo maps are simply awesome when 4wd'ing, makes things so much easier. I wouldnt rely on them for walking though, the battery wouldnt last 2 hours fresh off the charger.
  4. My missus got one, its not a bad safe. Its solid enough, more solid then my High Country one. The only problem she has had, is it took them 7 weeks to deliver it because they forgot, she was giving a heap of extra stuff in compensation for this. Also the latch to open it does require some force.
  5. Completly legal in Vic. Ammo must be stored in a seperate compartment with a seperate key. Providing it doesnt use the same key for both its legal. Most of them now are built like this.
  6. The damp rid stuff does work, and needs draining. I wouldnt rely on it to protect my guns though. No chance you couldp ut the safe inside in a cupboard or something? Keeps them well protected in every aspect.
  7. It will be perfect for what you want. I bought mine locally, assuming its the same one its a great solid light and will work a treat.
  8. Definitly..... Depending what you want out of a torch. These a great fitted on a scope and can be used to pick up rabbits no worries. If you are after a spotlight with spread, then this isnt going to be what you want. If you want something else, keep putting $50 away each week and save up for what you want, telling the missus it only cost $50.00 works for me
  9. Its not alot of hassle, and definitly worth it unless you get an andersons plug or something decent made up. If the bonnet has an insulation sheet thing then your safe or your battery is low. Run the cable around the mirror (to kinda tie it up) down the bonnet (closest to the windscreen) along somewhere safe to the battery, clip on. Pop some bunnies.
  10. I have a Winchester double rifle hardcase. It was $150 from the LGS. Holds both my scoped .22's no worries, and locks them up nice and secure with no chance of them being damaged sliding around the back of the ute.
  11. If you held it on flat out, it would probs get 45-60minutes, but I wouldnt expect much more. I used my mates for 2 nights, and last night it was just starting to go dull towards the end, but could still easily pick rabbits.
  12. I went into Aussie's to have a look at the P7, lets just say I now I own one haha. Still think Ill get an Enforced to go with it, you can never have enough lights right? DJ, is the SL140 the scope mount or hand one?
  13. LOL, you sound just like me, my missus is just as bad as me in outdoor shops, so its terrible. Ill go have a look in there on Friday for some ideas, see what I come out with.
  14. The P7 looks goodm, but the ones I foubnd online dont have scope mounting kits etc, Ill have a look further tonight. Might have to get a P7 to go in conjunction with a decent spotty
