My wife got me a Kanetsune Kari from Knifecenter.com I think, bit of a wait for the knife as it was on backorder, amd it was quite expensive, but it's a hell of a knife! Search Youtube and check out the German dude doing his little demonstration with one, cuts timber and phone books and stuff... Couldn't bring myself to do the same with mine, but you can see it's a very tough and quality knife... (Looks just a little impressive too...)

I spoke to weapons licensing (QLD) about getting a laser bore sighter two days ago, they said they are a fairly common import, you need a import permit to get it through customs, but no mention of it being illegal...?

I've got a Garmin E-Trex, no downloadable maps, but you can set it to map your travelled routes, for example, roads around the area, and then use them as reference points etc. The new one I got has a high sensitivity receiver which works extremely well in some of the thickest rainforest I've ever seen! It sets way-points to make your way back to a chosen location... As a budget buy, I was very happy with the toy overall!
