  1. I'm pretty sure those cheap golf rangefinders have a reticle in them that lets you line up the pin and based on its height, you can read off the distance. There is no way $10 is going to buy you a laser rangefinder. I don't want to dissapoint you but I think you'd only be able to use it to range a critter if you could get said critter to hold a 7ft (or whatever) flag pole up for you.
  2. Yep. http://www.scorpionglobal.com.au/ If you call them, make sure you let them know you found them on the web (not ebay). I got one of their 5 gun safes. It's my first safe, but it seems like great value for money compared to the ones I found in gun shops for $100-$150 more. The door has four bolts. It is well designed and well made (in my opinion). Cheers.
  3. Hi Mark, As has already been said, US GPS receivers will work in Oz, however what you may be referring to is the WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System), which uses ground based stations to enhance GPS accuracy. A lot of new GPS receivers are WAAS capable, but it is only available in North America. Not having WAAS just means you are limited to standard GPS accuracy (pretty good for most purposes). Hope that helps.
  4. Hi all, just starting out and here to do a bit of reading. Hopefully one day I'll help some others...
