  2. hi Ralph,

I never really looked into the weathery as they are made in the same place as the Howas I have another Howa 1500 in .308 so when I had the chance to buy this one I went straight to the Howa all I done was ordered it in the Heavy varmit barrel.

    Cheers

    Gunner

  3. G day gunner, I am considering purchasing a 204 ruger.

  7. It's all good here in NSW as long as the safe has been inspected and the person at the location of the safe is licenced. When we fill in our PTA's the registry asks where our rifles are to be kept. I was told to keep a copy of the rego papers with the the rifles so if the police were to turn up for a random inspection they can run the numbers and see that they are legit. Gunner
  8. I went halves with my old man a just over a year ago an a 10-15 gun Foxsafe was about $600 + a few bolts to put it in so just over $300.00 and then I had to but a smaller one for my place as a transit safe. Gunner
  9. I'm going to ring around some other shops today and see who has what in stock and see if they know how to use them. Gunner
  10. Hi there people after 25 rounds of NRL football I have come out on top of the tipping comps I'm in, so I have $600ish dollars to play with and what better to spend my my hard earned tipping money on than stuff for shooting. Appart from a down payment on the new rifle I want (still workin out what caliber .223 or .338WM that and the fact I own 7 rifles already) two others things have crossed my mind to spend the dollars on either a new scope for my .17HMR thinkin maybe a leupy 100 year anniversy model or a range finder. I want to explore the range finder option a bit I went to the gun shop yesterday and had a look at the Leupy ones but the guy sellin them had no idea on how to make them work, told me they had a lot of options and features and came with instructions on how to set them up but couldn't show me how to drive them (not a lot of hope here or maybe he dosen't want to sell them for some reason). I have seen a few different types out there as well (Burris, Nikko and Bushnell i think) so I just want opions on them all or do I just buy scope and be done with it. Cheers Gunner
