  1. Take a look at the Steel Blue range, they are very comfortable, can get stitched tongues in some models which keeps the water out and they're built tough.
  2. G,day mate,rods suck

I use a patch worm for my patches

I have just made a pull through for the bronze brush using 1.3mm whipper snipper line

I will be lookin into the otis gear

Pushing a rod over the leade doesn t sound like a good idea to me try the pull throughs

  3. I have used it on a few different properties and it performed exactly the same as my two dollar button whistle. On one property where they were keen as on the whistle it was hauling them in quickly, even had to shoot one on the run because he wouldn't stop coming in even after I shouted at him. Another property, absolutely no luck at all. So they're good, but I don't think they're better than any other types.
  4. I was in the same dilemma a while back, tried heaps on and talked to alot of people. I ended up getting a pair of steel blues, never looked back. So comfortable and very well made. I bought a pair that are designed for mining work, so the tongue is stitched all the way to the top, handy for keeping crap out of your boots and socks. I went to a store and tried them on, picked out the size I wanted then bought them for half the price (literally) on ebay.
