Rob - CW
I've had some success with the Bombala whistle. I haven't 'cold called' foxes with it but when I have seen them they responded to the whistle. Volume is only marginally better than a button whistle. high country hunter
i've used button whistles, tenterfields and scotch predator callers and IMO the button is virtually useless except for small gulleys on windless days, the tenterfields are excellent but it takes a while to learn how to use them effectively, and the scotch predator call is the best of the three as they are easier to control the pitch and volume of the squeals. as for electronic calls, i can't imagine one of the portable callers being much louder than a button whistle, but i reckon they'd go alright hooked up to a cars sound system.
