nick
When using spot lights wether it be roof mount or hand held, Do any of you fellers use the coloured perspex covers?? Which colour do you find works best for pigs, foxes etc...And do you think that you loose much distance of light with the cover on???
Bruny
Ive used the red filter, works ok, but you loose to much light and distance, for finding game.
St4ghound
agree with lakey, the red one is alright, in my experience you can keep the light on a fox when calling it in most of the time, and it doesnt seem to bother them, but it makes locating stuff hard, especially if you are driving
tinyted
The filters do work & arent too bad over open stubble fields looking for pigs, but as previously stated you do loose distance & visibility. You must know the paddocks back to front to determine the difference between bushes & pig/s.
Bullcat
Once you`ve spotted your fox, take the light out of his face and keep it by his feet while you take the shot or whistle him in closer...
