  1. You problably right Jock, guns are addictive if you are interested enough. My safe was made at a factory years ago, by a metal worker, it can hold around 10 guns.
  2. They protect you from just about everything, except leaches.
  3. Powerbeam is more heavier then the Lightforce, beyond that its personal choice, you cannot go wrong with either.
  4. I had a power beam 9" for years, i just replaced it with a Lightforce 240Blitz. Nothing wrong with either, the newer lightforce spotys are much better then the older original ones. The handles suit either spoty, just make sure you get the nut on the top of the holder. http://www.lightforce.net.au/images/REMOTEMOUNTING.pdf http://www.lightforce.net.au/remote.html
  5. The chances of it happening is still pretty slim, ive had hundreds run past me. The only time one has had a go at me, the individual was provoked. An unprovoked attack, is like getting hit by a bus, i wouldnt be too concerned mate. But it could happen. Pigs are more scared of us, then what we are of them, trust me.
  6. "If" you dont have enough bandages, loosly wrap your shirt around the top half of your leg above the knee, then tighten the noose around it.
  7. Maybe he thinks while on his own he may be attacked, which is as rare as rocking horse poop. Just make that first shot count, why do you own a single shot 243 for pigs boong?
  8. boong, I do alot of solo hunting in the conditions you speak, i have a GME MT310 Epirb. Also the emergency number for your phone, if out of signal is 112. Yes the snakes are out now too, i seen my first over the weekend, a little brown. It also pays to have an outdoor first aid kit, you can get them from your local chemist. Maybe even throw a rope noose in just incase of a snake. Even if you are hunting with companions, these simple & lightweight tools can come in handy.
  9. They look a nice scope, i like the Viper 3.5-10x50 Dead Hold BDC. Even for AU buyers its still affordable & have lifetime warrantys.
  10. I have a Next G phone & Epirb, on my phone has the emergency number aswell, even if you are out of reception, it will work in emergencys. No 112.
  11. Im glad you bought it up, cos im after one too. The 17HMR isnt a long distance bunny popper, but the range finder will tell you the distance you are shooting at. They arent cheap either.
  12. The newer models appears to be 100% better then the older models, i just bought one recently, it is BRIGHT. You can also adjust the size of the beam too. As far as reliability goes, i dont no anybody that has had any probs with them. So far mine appears to be worth the money.
  13. Gday all Queenslanders, join in the comments dont be shy.
