  1. Copy that SS. I've often wondered,. Do U fit in a 2 person tent or do U fly camp?
  2. eyes on klymit coincidently.... like the ozone.. looks a bit chilly tho... insulated lightweight model looked the goods, few look good actually.. IF anyone else or yaself is keen on the klymit there is a bit of a bargain deal going down with 're furbished' mats, essentially been sent back with a fault, fixed in the factory and got a certificate to say its as manufactured.. $60-80 aud... with a import tax and a shipping fee.... still sub RRP by a bit
  3. i hear what your saying Sambarkiller but there is a happy medium here i have no doubt about that its just working out which ones guna be comfy enough (thick enough?) an all that jazz... i dont really sleep on snow or freezing ground (yet) so dont see the point of -21 insulationg, but a good minus -10 would be good enough plus the bagsq quality to keep ya warm. which model exped is yours??? i have a LW...... ?
  4. Yep thats no doubt the bottom line there BT. i dont know id like the 3/4 without giving it a go, its all about a smaller over all package though, the exped is 1.1kg an rolls up accordingly, some ofthese other ones im looking at are 400 grams or so, full length but a fair difference in price and weight depending on insulated, an of course i want insulate... lots of skeleton style ones now which claim the pocket loft aids the sleeping bag to fluff out an the down to work better than being squished up on a flat mat type.. its hard to stray from 9cm of luxury with -25 of protection from ground chill Though - so asking around thanks for the reply an opinion
  5. anyone had a go in one and whats ya thougts? eyeing off a new matt , small for more room in pack may sell an exped 9 if anyones keen

  8. anyone purchased any game cams off ebay of recent times? has the general price of trail cams dropped in recent years? i havnt purchased one for a while, onl just began shopping for a new one for mostly surveilance and some of these ebay jobs look pretty good for say $7-0$90 range? anyone have any links to particulars that are decent enough? i see a few guys had the Aldi ones? what r they worth these days? any cheaper end models you can reccommend? thank yas

  15. another vote for kti.. just register it where ya guna be mostly but it works in nz and oz. guna be costly for me if i set mine off as its registered in kiwi... take a while for the squirrel to come by perhaps. jokes joyce but all good on the kti front. 299
  16. katmandu rubber silicon jobby, light as a feather, wind and weather proof.. use it over other jackets etc. best thing i used esp for up in chilli high country winds etc.
  17. Howdy, looks like you got enuff stuff to do 3 nights , a pack of noodles or 2 goes a long way for a warm quick feed at any stage of the trip and very light weight. salami is great but weighs up as does cheese, its a luxury item for sure but if your onlya K or so away you can afford to pack heavy for sure! with the hammock i assume the insulation mat is good qual as thats where you will lose alot of your heat, or gain the cold from any breeze etc.. re the fire you will be right especially if just light it after dark an use til sleep, then start when wake if needed by having prepared tinder an shit to getit goin quick an then out before ya go huntin... easy. yep, just go for a slow armed bush walk into chosen spot, sounds like your packing up each morning? this can be good to follow the animal or sign an into productive ground, but base camping once in good location is most simplest. enjoy man and do drop back in with your results, what ya learnt and what you will do different next time. warm barrels
  18. id be suprised if it doesnt suit you fine for day hunting man! which is typically crack of dawn til mid arvo, returning to camp before dark to get things sorted an settled in. or just goin out til midday and back out at 2-30 til dark etc.
  19. She's 80 , probly 75. Main an 5 front ,. Couple other bits. I do a video review on it this week . No chesty an no frame support so doesn't sit as per better pack would. Could be a good full day hunt pack , an great camp bag for keeping stuff together. Will explain more on a video shortly ay.. CBF typin
  20. just turned up. packaged in very small bag... so folds up very small. soft shell. few photos the Area here the Shoulder straps are stitched onto the Pack at the top...... may need a few ZigZags thru it to just triple confirm no busting with antlers on board how it sits, 80ltr - comparing my proper hiking pack its a little wider and not as tall.... (80 V 85ltr ) NOTE- pack completely empty. sitting a bit funny at bottom in pic will load up over weekend an see.......
  21. cant really complain and those complaints arnt too much, like ya say somewhat expected for the price... i dont think you will have too much weight in day pack to worry much about weight bearing on the hip straps, majority of small packs are just shoulder strap jobs. so thats all cool. noisey zips are cool, only in the heat of moment is noisey zips an issue but just dont unzip while stalking on a deer LOL your spot on about the price V longevity, i bought a nbackpack off a corner store in China once for bugger all, its still in the pile of packs an still working order... ya never know if ya never giverago.. what colour did you go with mate?? il post up when mine arrives mine must not be far away at all
